Announcement-only streams

This feature is only available to organization administrators.

By default, anyone who belongs to a stream can also send messages to the stream. However, sometimes it's useful to have a stream (often a default stream) where only organization administrators can send messages.

Restrict posting to organization administrators

  • None

  1. From your desktop, click on the gear () in the upper right corner.

  2. Click Manage streams.

  3. Click All streams in the upper left.

  4. Select a stream.

  5. On the right, click [Change] next to the description of the stream permissions.

  6. Click Restrict posting to organization administrators.

  7. Click Save Changes.
